Santa Cookie Plate

I saw this tutorial from Just Something I Made last year (see, blog-reader obsession...) and saved it to do when I had more time.  With a newborn and working last Christmas, it just wasn't in the cards.  Not that having a toddler running around while I SAH all day with her is any easier mind you - because it took me about 2.5 weeks to make this plate!  lol

But in the end, I am really happy with the result!  It was my first time every doing something like this - ever using paint pens as well.  I like it so much that I am running out to get a couple more plate and try to make two more for some of the other kiddos in our life.

My favorite part is that the plate says "from Gabrielle" right now, but after the baby is born this spring I can add in his or her name so it will have both names next year.  :)
